What’s it like to be hypnotized?    

Hypnosis is a natural state which we are all very familiar with.  Whether you are aware of it or not you go in and out of hypnosis throughout the day. Some days you experience the state of hypnosis more than others and always just upon waking and just before dropping of to sleep we are experiencing the hypnagogic state.  It is the wonderful state of complete physical and mental relaxation which is revitalizing and invigorating.  Rather than being asleep you are completely awake and in control experiencing a high level of focus and awareness.

What if I get stuck in a trance state of hypnosis?

All trances end whether formally or by your choice.  It is not possible to be stuck.  The next time you feel yourself getting stuck in a trance state, for example when a savvy salesperson closing in on the sale and you find yourself unable to say no do this: simply count yourself out from one to five and say “Wide Awake”.

Are you going to make me cluck like a chicken?

My goal working with you as a Hypnotherapist is to help you achieve your goals and successes.  You are in complete control of the session at all times and will not ever be asked to do something which is not in alignment with your goals.  So the question begs to be asked, “Is your goal to cluck like a chicken?”

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is the biggest and strongest tool around. Hypnosis is a very effective tool created by words used to create suggestibility in the mind.  Hypnosis allows the individual to reach a deep state of relaxation where the conscious mind is mute so the subconscious mind may receive positive thoughts and suggestions for the individual’s goal of positive change.  Behavior modifications can occur rapidly during this state as the subconscious mind is most receptive to replacing old beliefs and behaviors with new ones which support the positive goal.  If you’ve ever been fully engrossed in movie or other activity where you lost track of time and space you have experienced hypnosis.

I use positive thinking and affirmations.  Why should I use Hypnotherapy?  

Hypnotherapy adds an extra dose of effectiveness to whatever form of self help methods you are already using. Hypnotherapy adds extra strength and focus to your already positive use of affirmations by dropping the suggestions into your subconscious mind with laser light focus.  For maximum focus and use of your inner power Hypnotherapy can add a turbo boost to reaching your goals of success and positive change.  Hypnotherapy is effective, super relaxing, drug free and the most direct approach I know of to reach goals and release outdated modes of behavior. Sometimes people find they reach a plateau when using affirmations, positive thinking etc. Hypnosis may be the missing link which can propel you over the plateau stage.

Doesn’t a Hypnotherapy session need to be done in person?

No, hypnotherapy sessions do not need to be done in person.  The expanding world of technology has made receiving hypnotherapy sessions extremely convenient.  I have received in-person, Skype and Zoom sessions and all three have been effective – I have even received Skype sessions in my car which were equally effective.  Hypnosis is created with words so as long as you are able to hear me, sit comfortably according to a diagram I send you (as close as possible) the session will be completely effective.
